Hello, I've been in dilemma over 2 different digital pianos: YDP142 vs YDP162. i am not sure which on would be a better one. can you tell me please?

of course. ydp162 is the higher, upper level version but i am saying value wise. PER DOLLAR wise. for a 13 year old who just wants to practice....

I need to buy one for my son and he is 13 years old and he want's to start playing it to practice.

i've found some reviews on the product

    YDP142: http://digitalpianobestreview.com/2015/ ... tal-piano/
    YDP162: http://digitalpianobestreview.com/2015/ ... 62-review/

Please leave me a comment asap. i need to buy it for my son's birthday coming up in a month.

These two are the best Yamaha beginner pianos used for the practicing by the learners and the hobbyist players. There is no big difference in the price between the two except the variations in certain features. YDP162 is an updated version of YDP142. Hence YDP162 is updated with some of the features, i suggest you to opt the same. The better sound quality, the more weighed keys with smooth touch, in height it looks like an upright piano and Yamaha incorporated the best acoustic optimizer technology which controls the harmonious union of 88 melodies. So, definitely your son likes this piano, gift it and make him happy.
