Hello Folks! Time again for my once-a-year recording for PS.

I recorded this at home before hearing Felipe's recording. Now that I've heard his, I realize mine isn't as good :-( . I will probably re-record this anyway, so please leave some pointers!

    Thanks

It's not at all a bad recording Marcelo. I know this piece well and heard only some very tiny fluffs. Not that an occasional dodgy note matter so much in Villa-Lobos, as long as you get the spirit right. I'm not sure that you did here. It's not for me to tell a Brazilian how to play this music, but I was rooting for more flamboyance. V-L is so larger than life, his gestures theatrical and grandiose, and I felt you are being rather timid here. Let rip those triple or quadruple fortissimos ! This is the steaming jungle, and the piano is a beast to be conquered. I'm probably not making much sense
