    Ah, those d minor and F major couples from WTC1 - they belong to my most loved WTC pieces!

    To your interpretations:

    I very much liked your F major prelude and fugue. You managed to play those trills in the prelude pretty well, also those for the left hand, I think. There were some spots in the prelude with weak or no notes in the left hand, but otherwise I like it much. The fugue is solide played too - I could imagine a more distinct phrasing of the theme, instead more or less complete legato. Because that eases the listener to follow and recognize the theme throughout the fugue. But that's only personal matter of taste.

    The d minor prelude now. I really do like if that prelude is played fast, it invites to do so I think. I like that you got it managed that the right hand remains softer and that you have a well recognizable staccato melody line in the left hand. But your take sounds in places rushed, some right hand notes are uneven or not there.
    I very much like the d-minor fugue, like almost all fugues you play. The last note has no upper d in the right hand in your score?

    Overall I like it much, only with a curtailment regarding the d minor prelude.

    Your energy and results for getting complete cycles is unequalled - great!

    Thanks for the comments Olaf. Yes this D minor prelude is flawed, as are many of my preludes. They just always seem to elude me at the crucial moment no matter how well I prepare. I'll keep working on this one (as well as that darned D major). The F major is not beyond reporach either. Luckily I have the fugues to compensate :)

    No I have not got that top D in the last chord of the fugue. In my Urtext that D is an octave lower which seems to me more logical, and sounds better too. I'd say that top D is probably a Czerny "improvement".

    Very well played and a bit softer and may I say, in better control, in the difficult D minor.
