Sounded fairly straight-forward, which is what I like. It's up on the site. Also, Nuccio, don't forget to listen and comment on other members' recordings too.
Hello Nuccio, I think you did a good job on your recording of Bach's Italian Concerto. What digital piano do you use? Alexandre
Dear Monica, you are perfectly right. Sorry for this shortage. I am interested to listen the recordings on this precious database. I'll begin to check the pieces. Kind regards, Nuccio Trotta
Hi Alexandre, nice to meet you! I play on a Roland HP207 with wooden keyboard. I'm glad for your appreciation. Your friend, Nuccio Trotta
1st mvt.: Starts off rather pointedly and directly, if a bit percussive. Good tempo. On about the third or fourth page though, the tempo begins to sag and remains inconsistent for the rest of the piece. The second part suffers from a few rather noticeable flubs and smears, particularly in the left hand. 2nd mvt: Better than the first overall. Not sure why you thump out the bass notes near the beginning. Some nice dynamics though rhythmically it seems a bit monotonous to my ears. 3rd. mvt.: Again some left hand problems here. The tempo is perhaps a bit sluggish, and the left hand frequently sounds labored and uneven. Some nice contrapuntal gestures though. Overall, I would practice the left hand separately more here. As in most Bach, it's what gives the piece its impetus and grandeur. Sometimes in your performance, it dropped notes, was smeared or uneven, or was out of sync with the right hand.
