I just got an email from a clarinet student that is playing Debussy's Premiere Rhapsody, and I'm not sure if I should accept it because I'm already a bit overloaded (I'm accompanying 7 voice students with 4-song repertoires). Since IMSLP died, I can't get the score anywhere - have any of you played it? If it's something I can work up with about 3 hours practice, I'll do it, but I don't want anything actually difficult.
I've got the score now...looks like it would require a bit more than 3 hours practice. That is, if I understand tempo indications in French...it starts out slow but has some sections that I think are much faster. Ah, well...
I played it back in the days and it is not that hard to get.The main issue is ensemble. If you have any questions as far as tempo, don't hesitate to ask.I speak and write french,LOL
