Hi there, I'm sending a couple of of Two Voices Inventions by Bach (n.2 and n.4). I wish you all a wonderful 2010! Thanks, Aline Fletcher
Hello Aline and welcome to Piano Society. I've listened to your two recordings here and think that you play them well. However, the sound quality, while not terrible, is not that great, either. I hear some hissing and static in the background. Also, please tell us a little about yourself and your piano and recording set up too.
Well played indeed, especially no.4. No. 2 could be a bit more playful and articulated, and I am not convinced about the execution of the trills, in particular the last one which is a bit half-hearted. You'll need to do something about the sound quality though, before these could go on the site. The massive hiss is too distracting. It would be ok for an historical recording, but not for a modern one.
Hi there Thanks for your input on my recordings. I agree that the sound quality isn't too good yet, it was done only with my laptop's internal microphone (probably when most of the hissing and external sounds are coming from). I'll be getting a new and better microphone very soon, so that hopefully will fix most of the external sounds. It was recorded on a new Essex upright studio piano. I'll post them again when I get my new microphone, no big deal. ;-) Take care, Aline
