Hello everyone,

Please find in the attachment a short mp3 file. It is myself playing on my acoustic piano, a Kawai upright KS-3F. The top lid of the piano is up, and the zoom Handy Recorder H2 is on a small mic stand on a chair about 1 metre from the front of the piano. So the Recorder is directly behind me when I am playing. I used front 90 degrees setting, and medium mic gain and rec level 127. I did not use normalize.

Thank you for any suggestions you may have.

Sounds pretty good to me. A bit too much reverb (or is it pedal ? ) but nice clean sound. You must be careful with this setup not to pick up any bench or pedal sounds.

Sounds okay to me too. I hear a clock ticking in the background though. Maybe you can move it away when recording...

Thank you both for your assessment. I will take the clock away, and maybe reduce the pedalling, and upload another one of the same music.
