Hi folks,
It has been a while since I have had a chance to pop through. It has been a challenging year.
Life got complicated last October, just before Mother's 94th birthday when things started to go wrong mentally with her. She had been sharp as a tack up until then. I finally had to drag her out of her apartment (where I also live) and put her in the nursing home. This is something that neither of us wanted or expected.
At the same time I am going into my busiest seasons for my church and school jobs. Because this town has soooo many opportunities, I work a couple of part time jobs plus give a few piano lessons. That was the way it worked for me to come back to be with her for the past couple of years. Needless to say, it about did me in.
She is doing much better now mentally (after months of hell for both of us). Otherwise, she is healthy as a horse.
I hope to be visiting PS more often now. I've missed the musical and mental stimulation that this group provides me.
Also, to all of you have joined since last October, WELCOME.
