Sexy!!! (So is the girl playing it  )

I must say though that your feet seem to be in a bit of an awkward position to play the pedals properly.

$1.2 mil'?... "Winning," as Charlie Sheen would say. The patterns look like a backgammon set. Well, this way you can always role the dice to strike another $1.2 mil.' :P

@George - I wish! ( I never win anything, so....)

@Scott - That's a new way of pedaling that I just invented. You use your heals instead of your toes.

I'm so bored today!!! Good thing I can look for a new piano. Here's one...it's not my dream piano, but it's not ugly either. Kinda neat, I think.

Is that a Kawai?? They made a plexiglass piano in the late '70s.

No, it's actually a Schimmel. I wonder what it sounds like?

I played something that looked like that (but smaller) in a music shop in the UK in the early 1990s. They told me it had been used in the Eurovision song contest. It sounded surprisingly good!

A beauty! I like that it comes with a Renner-made action, and I like the wheels, but I think the pedal lyre looks chincy.

Indeed, the lyre does not do justice to the nice classical model. Actually the legs are not very elegant either.

The appearance is not so important. The sound is!

According to Larry Fine, the editor of Piano Buyer, it is 'phenomenal'!:D

I found another dream piano. It's on Ebay here:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Magnificent-Ste ... 20b506c875

Look at all the photos - I like the claw feet! Even the chair that goes with it is amazing, although I'm not sure how comfortable it would be.

(can someone bid on it for me, please? :) )

It seems a little plain to me

I'll bid on it for you, Monica, but you will have to indefinitely loan me the money to pay for it.

She's a beaut!

Well, for $2,000,000 that is probably out of your price range?

But might consider starting a kickstarter project, to raise money :)

This piano is only suitable for French baroque literature. can you imagine playing Bartok, Prokofiev or Schoenberg on it? Yuck!

I wish there was no child on that fish thing, and instead it was just a nice scary-looking gargoyle.

Agreed! That baby totally ruins it. Maybe an awesome winged angel, but a baby?, that's kinda pathetic..

IMHO, I'll take an expensive hood-ornament-less Mason & Hamlin to this 'dorfer anyday. Ironically, the M & H dwarfs the "dorfer" (in appearance. if nothing else) :P
