I am trying to identify two pieces of classical music that I heard on a CD a while ago. I tried to recreate them in this video. If you know the piece than please share it!

here is the link to the video of the recreated pieces:

First one is Bach Italian concerto, first mvt.
Second one is too short and too atrociously scored to identify.

Thanks for the help. Yes the audio is bad on the recordings and I will not put on airs-- you're right, the second is scored very poorly, the first could be improved. The second piece is a very slow work, and I think its played on a harpsicord, and the string section of the orchestra. Maybe one day I will find its name. :?:

I was able to trace the CD with the first title, because I remembered the track number of The Italian Concerto. The CD is JSB: "The Masterpiece Collection." The second song I attempted (but failed quite splendidly) was

Concerto No. 1 In A Minor For Violin, Strings And Basso Continuo - Andante. If you care to compare the two versions, a link to a video is below:

LOL. Don't mind us BF; we are all snobs, really. I think it comes with the territory.

@ broken fingers Thanks for the endeavor. I went to youtube and listened to Chopin's 3rd Piano sonata. I do not think this is the piece, but thanks anyways. It has the flowing quality of Chopins 3rd piano sonata, just not the melody.

@Terez Thanks for identifying what the piece is not. You say you are snobs and that it comes with the territory. :) very funny.- Now... about what the piece is!!

@Op31n2 Thanks for reaffirming what the piece is not. Now... what is the name of it??!

Ow. I'd try to help you out further, but I don't think my wild guesses are going to help
Maybe listen through Chopin's misc works? I don't think that it is a Bach piece.

Well, you don't know that until you have listened through all Bach pieces.

But then, if it's not Chopin or Bach, on which we all seem to agree ... it must be Liszt !
Good job it was a multiple-choice question :P
