Hello

So, I didn't know if you knew that there are websites stealing our recordings and putting them up.
Here is one link and I don't especially like the fact of what the website is called.
Here is a link
http://isfuckingaweso.me/song/1060729/A ... Sicilienne

I wondered what could be done about it. Could there be a way to block things like this?

Thanks.

Oh, Alison - there are so very many sites like this that are playing our recordings. We've talked about this before, but have not figured out a way to prevent it.

And btw - I just went to that link you posted, typed in my own name, and saw some of my recordings - including the four Copland pieces that we had to take off PS because of copyright issues. Not sure what to do here - I hope I don't get in trouble, but I'm not the one who put it there in the first place. Still....I'm a little freaked out. If you're reading this Chris, check to see if your 'banned' recordings are there as well.

Ah yes, they seem to have ripped all our recordings. Is what you get for putting stuff on the Internet, nothing much to be done about it. However if you try to play one, you get the error 'File no longer exists'. Effing aasum indeed.

BTW The German Pussy video did play allright. I quite enjoyed that, even though it is a bit rancid 8)

Mine don't, nor do Alison's. Can't say I care either way though...
If they host these files it's their problem, not ours. I almost wish many sites would rip our files, just to spite the B&H's of this world :P

Ok- i didn't know what could be done. Mine did play for me on that one. I did email the site though to ask them to take it off- so Chris- if you went after that, that would probably be why it didn't play.

Thanks.

No, I was just randomly clicking some of my own recordings, and they would not play.
Did they get back at all to you ? Sounds like the kind of site that wouldn't....
