Ladies and Gentlemen, who's your pick for the Super Bowl win?

For the UK folks, an apology is in order. Please forgive my nutty behavior... :D

(And for the record... my siblings put me up to this.)

Who picked Arizona? It was I! Yes, in my heart of hearts I feel that the Steelers will prevail, but I'm still going to root for the underdog. Look at all those Super Bowl wins that the Steelers have run off with! The poor birdie Cardinals haven't gotten any in a month of Super Bowl Sundays... plus some. Yes, yes, you're not the only one to think I'm a nut. My family falls just short of worshipping their Terrible Towels, and so they've had a few choice words for me lately. Oh well...

A Steeler family in Texas? I guess the 'Boys aren't keeping their home crowd in line  Must be the QB and his off-the-field drama

Okay, to tell the unmitigated truth, when the Cowboys are in they're my first pick (I'm a very devoted fan, actually  ). But since that team is obviously not in Sunday's game, most of the family is rooting for the Steelers. My Dad was raised in PA, which of course influences the choice. Oh, and he is the only one that's not a Cowboys fan, either - he's dubbed them "the Cowgirls."

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say.....Steelers 27, Cardinals 23?

But seriously, did you see that last touchdown?!?

Un-freakin-believable.

BTW, one of my childhood neighbors was in the game...small world.

Yeah, wasn't that touchdown close to superhuman? I bet he got an A plus and a half on his "body control" test. No wonder he was MVP!

Fitz did some cool moves, too, but we're not supposed to talk about that. Those poor birdies ...

When one of your neighbors is in the Super Bowl, that is a small world. Definitely something to be proud of! Perchance, do you know his name?

Early Doucet, of the Cardinals, lived about 100 feet from me in the '90s. He was a local high school football phenom around here. He's 6 years younger than me, so we were never friends; from what I could tell, he was a nice kid.

Incidentally, the NFL's Jake Delhomme's cousin lives across the street from me! And Micheal Phelps' uncle...just kidding.

Wow! That's really neat! We like Jake Delhomme over here... he's a good quarterback that knows how to connect well with Smith.

Yeah, I feel sure Phelps couldn't live in Louisiana and be an Olympic swimmer - on one of his swimming forays into the bayou he'd be sure to lose a limb.

Sorry. That was a sick joke...

On another line, my little sister is dying to know if you're a Cowboys fan. We're serious over here. Seriously.

I think "America's Team" is wrongfully attributed.

Aw, come on... :P they've just got some bad press, that's all. The 'Boys aren't nearly as bad as the media claims they are; the press has always got to have a scapegoat, and it's obvious to me who they picked. One of the linebackers, Barnett, recently visited our Kroger (of all things! ) and my brother said he was nothing less than a really nice guy.

As Jimmy Johnson said, "How 'bout them Cowboys?" :D
