I'm looking for someone how recorded some Reger music, esspecially for organ.
I just took a look into the audition room but i wasn't successful. :(
He's one of my favourite composers so I'ld be graceful for a recording.

Excuse me if I didn't post this topic in the right forum corner... I'm new to Pianosociety
Thank you

If you go to the 'Piano Society Home Page' (the link right under the banner images) you can see that Reger is not in the list of composers, meaning that we have no recording of his music, either
on piano or organ. There are very few peformers who tackle Reger, which can be explained by the often enormous size, contrapuntal complexity and difficulty of his works, plus the fact that not many people appreciate his music, labeling it turgid and stodgy. Which admittedly, it sometimes is... but Reger could write absolutely delightful music also. I love the Hiller Variations and the Ballettszenen for example. I don't know any of his organ works.

So - it does not seem likely we'll have Reger up here any time soon - but you never know...

BTW - Welcome to Piano Society ! I hope you'll find something else to your liking.

BTW 2 - The "General" forum would have been better to post this...
