Hallo friends,
Do you like rain? I like it very much; I dont mean storm now, but a calming, silent rain. Sitting at the window and watching I got felt moved to express it at the piano and this night I have written it down. Its a sentimental piece, so not everybody will like it, but if you like such music, just listen and say me your feelings and what you think about my music.
As usual I am posting the sheet music for piano and the audio files.
Dont hesitate to give me negative or positive feedback!

Well, I listened to this piece which was appropriate for a day like today because it was raining all day today.

Your piece makes rain sound very pleasant (well you did say it was supposed to be calm). Rain is pleasant when you are indoors all warm and cozy not getting wet.

Your descending passages (where you have scales, descending thirds, etc) are very trickly (I don't know if that word exists) and very reminiscent of rain it self. Thanks for sharing.

I can't comment too much because I am not learned in music theory :? . Your composition kept my attention. The staccato section had hints of Bach. Overall not that bad whatsoever.

Thank you Jennifer and Juufa!
Im glad that there are still new people who like this one. One friend from the net felt the sound not good enough and produced a better audio quality through better sampling. He also added in one version an real rain ambient sound with one thunder, which I like very much!
I want to share it with you;
my recommendation: Version with rain ambience:

This is a wonderful piece to relax to with a book in hand or while painting/drawing or even as a background at an exhibition. I like how it shows that not all rainy days have to be all terribly moody and depressing, they can be peaceful and tranquil as well. very inspiring.

and yes, I do love the rain, whether its loud and stormy or calm and silent.

Where did you get your rain sound? I've been using atmosphere lite free edition for some stuff I've been working on. Nice piece, by the way.

This has some things I've done with it.
