Stewart Kautsch has just written an interesting review on this book. I've never heard heard of the pianist before, but it sounds like her father was similar to Lang Lang's.

I had the pleasure of meeting her when I taught for a time at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville in the 1990s where she was Artist in Residence. She is amazingly tiny; 5' tall at MAXIMUM. So when you listen to her play realize that she was no Jorge Bolet towering over a 9' grand.
