What will you play there?

Sounds interesting! 8-13 October 2007 is one year away so you have much preparation time...so has your competitors . A nice sum of money in the artist class as well.

If I make it to the final round, I'll play Chopin's E-Minor Concerto. That's written in stone. The rest is still somewhat in a state of flux. Chopin 12 Etudes, Op10 will be included, probably some of Op25. Beethoven Sonatas 'Quasi una Fantasia' along with his 'Pastoral' Sonata are definite (14, 15 and 16). I haven't settled on a Scriabin Etude, (probably the D#-minor, maybe the C#-minor). Bach Prelude & Fugue in F# Major No.13, Book One, WTC. Mozart K330. Something of Shoenberg's. Rachmaninoff Bb Major Prelude, (the one with the crazy left hand part). Rachmaninoff G-minor prelude (the march).

I'll have to finalize a list this week. The pressure is officially on.

Yes, there's no margin for error! I just keep telling myself not to worry about whether or not I make the top three. I don't think I'll win, that's OK. I'm not trying to compete, just participate. I'll do my honest best.
