If anyone out there is nuts about Granados like I am, then check out the "Fans of Enrique Granados" Facebook page. Lots of neat and interesting stuff there! :)

What kind of repertory does he play? Could you link me some of his recordings?

Enrique Granados was a Spanish composer who lived from 1867 to 1916. His music is Nationalistic but essentially romantic. Really it's hard to describe because his music is so multi-faceted. Granados is known as the 'Spanish Chopin' so that should help you to understand. You can read a short biography on Granados right here on Piano Society and also hear many recordings.

Wow, JG - I just got around to listening to this - sure is different! Hate to say it, but I didn't like that interpretation at all!

But so everybody knows, Douglas Riva just finished recording all of Granados' piano music, which is quite an achievement! He completed the cycle by recording the Spanish Dances and Naxos recently released the CD. I just listened to that CD and enjoyed it very much. Riva's interpretations are fresh and interesting and made me want to go back and relearn all the Dances myself one day.
