I thought my classical pardners might enjoy this new "master class" on jazz/contemporary piano master Lennie Tristano. It focuses on tonal and non-tonal theories of improvisation and may be of interest to those who know Lennie's legacy..

This is a bit mislabled, as Lennie Tristano is neither contemporary (alive), nor is the masterclass with/by Tristano.

Well to be fair, it says a masterclass on Lennie Tristano. I must admit having never heard of that gentleman though...

It might be curious to see within all Dave's master classes, he has one on Dick Hyman, and Dick Hyman himself takes part in the entire master class.

Given that Dave was one of Lennie's students, its actually kind of interesting to see what he might have to say about Lennie (even though Lennie Tristano's music might not be for everyone...)

Both Dick Hyman and Lennie Tristano have been huge influences on many modern jazz pianists.
