I heard about it the same morning I read this post on the announcement of Ligetis death at the national radio in Sweden. Ligeti was guest professor at the Stockholm Unveristy of Music and was the receiver of the Polar-price in 2004. He enjoyed Sweden a lot and even learned to talk Swedish during his time here.
