I have a mathematician friend who has several hobbies, including piano. Last week I saw him at a concert. He said "I've been spending a lot of time playing piano and doing Rubik's cube". I thought he meant he had spent some of his time playing the piano, then some of his time solving the cube. It seems that I misunderstood. Today's email brings a message from him entitled "I did it!" and a link to this video:
That's pretty good, but I'd be more impressed if he could do that while playing something like one of Chopin's fast etudes!
