Well, even though nobody will play my little game with me, I will still 'give up the goods' because of all the help and advice I have received here on the forum.
So...to extract the audio portion from a video and convert it to an mp3, here is what I learned:
First you have to download the whole video. I use RealPlayer Downloader since I have that already on my computer. Then locate the downloaded video in your RealPlayer library. Next, download and then install an audio extractor program like Pazera Free Audio Extractor. Just like the name says, it's free and here's the link:

http://download.cnet.com/Pazera-Free-Au ... tag=buttonOpen up the Pazera program and drag the video into the blank area. Then choose where you want to put the mp3, go to File - click 'convert checked files' and that's it! You can even change the bitrate, frequency, channels, and volume. Isn't that neat?
(Although again one of my sons said that I could be arrested for doing this. Come visit me in jail, okay?

)
