Save the Nature! On printed score and its alternative

Postby Biggemski » Fri May 15, 2009 9:44 am

I just got an idea to digitalize all my printed scores into my laptop. It has various advantages.
You have just one thing - your computer - without messing with plethora of printed music. These data are well-aranged in computer. You save the woods in your act of dismissal of printed score.

My only question is: Is there some program which aquire changes in once digitalized ( scanned ) score ( I am thinging about writing fingerings etc in it ) ?

Hi Big,

I guess you'd have to learn a new page-turning technique! And music that is printed long-side-up (pretty much all nowadays) would appear rather small, or would you turn the computer on its side? Would you use the "page down" feature on a single page in order to see it large enough?

Or would you print it out as needed, then throw it away later after entering the changes? Of course that would be even worse for the trees!

There are ways to enter markings ("text") on photo files.
