Here's s dumb question, but what can I tell you? How do PS members post those famous quotes that are often at the end of their posts? I'm referring to those quotes of famous people like Chopin, Dickens, Aristotle, etc. I'm sure the way to do it is right in front of me, but I can't find it. [/quote]

Towards the top of the forums, you'll notice it says "Piano Society Home Page," "Search," "Profile," tells you your messages, and gives you the option of logging out. Click on "Profile" and scroll down to the last item under "Profile Information" where it says "Signatures." There will be a blank text field next to that where you can put in whatever you want to appear at the end of all of your posts. It doesn't have to be a quote, but most people like to put one as their signature if they have one.

I hope that helps. If it does, then the only question is... what quote will you be putting in?

Make sure your signature is creative.

and in lieu of creativity, perversion is always a great second choice! :P

And Nathan's even figured out to make it look perversely fancy with bold and italic, using BBCode tags:

Quote:
the one, the only ... Nathan Coleman
"You see, my piano is for me what his ship is to a sailor; more indeed: it is my very self, my mother tongue, my life." - Franz Liszt

The actual code you need to put in your signature field for this is
Code:
the one, the only ... [url=http://pianosociety.com/cms/index.php?section=1528] [b]Nathan Coleman[/b][/url]
[i]"You see, my piano is for me what his ship is to a sailor; more indeed: it is my very self, my mother tongue, my life."[/i] - Franz Liszt

Note the link to Nathan's homepage and the bold [b] and italic [i] tags.

Though, if you're going to link to something, I'd suggest underlining rather than bold...

Thanks for the info! I pasted a little quote in the Signature Box, but it doesn't show up in this post. Why?
I noticed that the quote I pasted in the Signature Box is not there when I go back. Am I supposed to save it some way?

There's a box that you have to check too, that says something like "attach signature to all posts". You can check it every time you make a post, or in your profile somewhere.

I checked your profile, and your Signature field is empty. I guess you did not click the Submit button to save it.
The 'Always attach my signature' is set to Yes, so that is not the problem.
