Still waiting for Pete. In the meantime, Where in the world?

Clues:

There is one of these in Pennsylvania, but they are not the same.
It has to do with "dwellings and loaves" in its local language.
A significant event has occured here, to which millions if not billions were affected.

Can you guess this place?

(Answers to be given Wednedsay 10th)

The answer to my Where In the World is Bethlehem, West Bank.

There is a town in Pennsylvania that shares the same name but, obviously, one is in the US and the other in the middle east.

The etymology of the name means "House of Bread" or in Arabic "House of Meat"

And you can figure out the last clue

sorry, J - I didn't see this earlier. Doesn't matter though because this looks like a piece of crinkled brown paper bag.

This will perhaps be the greatest game in this history of this thread! (Based on the time it is taking you to assemble it!!!)

OK, I'm back. Sorry for the absence. I was in blinding pain for two months. Searing, mind-numbing, so-bad-you-want-to-die kind of pain. I had a running/repetitive-motion injury to my piriformis muscle, which caused muscle spasms around the sciatic nerve. It felt like my leg was being flayed over and over again. Thank God for pain-killers!

Anyway, I'm better, mostly. Down to treating the injury with physical therapy, ibuprofen and just the odd Tylox. The prognosis is good, as long as I don't re-injure it.

Ugh.

Where was I? Right; a game...

I'll have to work on it later, my leg hurts from sitting.

Pete

Bit of a wimp, aren't you Pete !

Seriously though... that sounds real bad. You should not overdo that running thing.

Anyone who can run till something breaks is not a wimp. Stupid, maybe, but definitely not a wimp.

Although this may have been just as much a piano playing injury. For the last year or so, I've been healing from a shoulder injury, so I have spent almost none of that time sitting at the piano. Since October 2008, as the shoulder had healed, I resumed practice with gusto; my time on the bench increased too quickly, bruising the sciatic nerve, causing otherwise minor muscle spasms, which were acutely exacerbated by running.

Anyhoo, I'm getting less wimpy every day!

Ok, Pete. According to my clock, you have about two more hours. I get a little cranky if I am made to wait. :x  :)

guess someone doesn't like a little tease? I suppose you don't watch James Bond films because of the redundant "1 second left on the clock; Bond makes the escape or stops the bomb from going out, then procedes to make passionate love to a bombshell [pardon the pun] whilst waiting for the Royal Navy to rescue them" scene :P

What do you mean? I am a tease! Or haven't you noticed. And I love James Bond movies too. Especially Sean Connery. (ugh - now I've got that song "Gold Finger" running through my head)

Pete is late!

If you haven't figured it out by now, I can't be trusted.

I'm not procrastinating. Or am I?

No, seriously; I'm working on it right now.
