Der Ring Des Nibelungen: Transcription

Postby Anonymous » Fri Dec 01, 2006 10:54 pm

Whoa there! It's hardly finished, but I wanted to post a SMALL portion of what I've acomplished. I know there is a "Flight of the Valkyre" transcription, but I wanted to do the entire cycle. If it has already been done...there will be another.
PS: I'm not doing the lyrical part, manily the pieces performned in non-operatic concerts. Another words, it will be the overtures, so to speek.

Well that is a really small excerpt... Hard to say much about it except the piano is rather off tune. So you're going to transcribe the entire Ring .... Very ambitious ! Could also be an ungrateful task as Liszt has already cherry-picked all the nice Wagner bits.

But interesting. Let us know how you progress, and do post more (if you have a complete piece).
