Fantastic! The contrast can't be greater between that absolutely mellow played A part and the following explosion in the presto con fuoco part!

You are a great artist, and I am happy that you share some of your recordings here!

I was expecting (from the previous recordings I have heard) for a chocking start of the "Presto con fuco" but this was even more contrasting than I have expected. How on earth are you able to create that loud and distinct sound of the first chord without suffer any delay or clearity to the next coming notes? The contradicting motions from of the hands (left moves up, right down) combined with the fact that you must very likely hit the very first two finger chord of right hand with either 4-5 or 3-5 to not delay the next coming keys, makes it very difficult to come out well. Especially as everyone really expects it to do so. You must also play at a very good piano and have very good recordings equipment to catch this effect.

Musically, you "tell the Ballade story" very well and as with your other recordings, it seems very well planned and executed. Nothing is left to chance. Extremely good!

I should concur with previous posters. Extremely good indeed ! Not quite as absolutely perfect as the Sonata (couple of tiny slips here and there but that is nothing in a fiendish piece like this). The last bar of the agitato (just before the coda) does not sound very convincing to me, but apart from that, nothing but praise.

Superb. I particularly enjoyed the calmer sections and your LH scales in the first con fuocco (sp) part. Remarkable clarity in the RH carpal tunnel part before the coda. An excellent performance in every way. :D
