Well this is not the most original repertoire choice ever... But like everybody else, these were my first encounters with Debussy and I've never stopped loving them and I have long wanted to record them. There is something about early Debussy, a freshness and innocent charm that I find hard to resist. We have very good recordings of all these on the site by Tom Pascale, but I think these are ok too, if maybe not quite as sleek as Tom's.

I listened to the two arabesques, and have good things to say. Your phrasing is very controlled and the runs were not rushed.

The prelude could have used a little more rubato, but that's my opinion

The menuet sounds good, tempo is steady, the staccato somewhere after 1:00 is light which gave the piece a nice change in direction

claire de lune had nice rubato and contrast in dynamics, captures the nostalgic and 'lunar' mood This is one of my more favorite interpretations of this very popular piece

passpied has nice and light staccato and the triplets in the treble have a way of dancing on top of the bass which is a neat effect.

this is a lovely Clair de Lune!
nuanced and beautifully played! the middle section hesitates a bit, but overall this is a convincing "multilayered" performance (the voices come in different layers, if that makes any sense).

I made liberal use of all three pedals in Clair de Lune. I think that greatly adds to the sonority. I'm piffed that the sostenuto pedal is a bit creaky at times - have to get the tuner to look at that next time.
