I just wanted to tell you that I find it inspiring that you have studied the entire "48"! I don't know if I will survive a performing comeback as I have planned, but I would love to start working on a project such as you have done! One important caveat is that it doesn't have to be memorized. Whether I could handle all the work along side of developing performance-ready recitals, I do not know, but I wanted you to know that I so wish I could point to a complete recording of "the 48" as my own. I do have an all-Bach program on my to-do list that will have, what else, The Goldberg Variations (with few to no repeats due to time) followed by the Chromatic Fantasy and Fugue to complete the program. (I have also started evaluating the Tascam products ) My hat is tipped to you. (Incidentally, Monica had asked how I came to find the PS. I could not actually remember, but just yesterday discovered that the WTK page of PS recordings had been on my Favorite's List already!)

Well thanks for that. In fact my first recorded WTC cycle, datimg some years back, was a rather abominable affair that people rightly bitched about. I'm now almost halfway my recent re-recording and at least have most of the notes right, but yet I feel like I'm only just scratching the surface. To try and do this music right is a task that can bring one close to despair. But I plod on.... By the time I've completed the re-recording I probably feel like I need to start all over again.
