I am currently playing Beethoven's Six Variations on a theme by Paisiello and throughout the piece there many acciaccaturas and I'm not sure how they should be played... Some people tell me it should be on time with an accent on the 'crused note' itself, others say to accent the note that follows it. I am honestly confused...how do you believe it should be played considering it's a piece from the classical period and by Beethoven?...any help would be much appreciated.
