    Location:
    Louisiana, USA
    Last Name:
    Coleman
    First Name:
    Nathan
Nathan Coleman resides with his undeservedly beautiful wife in Shreveport, Louisiana, USA. At last count, 3 children (with a range of personality from angelic to demonic ... and that's just in the 2 year old!!) run rampant through their suburban home as he reacquaints himself with the piano. Eagerly anticipating their fourth child, Nathan and Jenifer hope they've finally figured out where these darn things come from! (please, God! let this be the last one ... they outnumber us now!)

Nathan is largely self-taught, having destroyed the stamina and psyche of many a devoted piano teacher. However, blind pianist and composer Don Lardie exercised a great influence on the teenager, continually encouraging him to "do something with your talent". From 1993 to 2004, Nathan devoted the large bulk of his spare time in charity work. In 2004, he returned to the piano to accompany the Spanish tenor, Julio Julián, in a public recital in Marshall, Texas. Mr. Julián encouraged Nathan to think about a career in music again: "Shouldn't you be doing this for a living?" Unfortunately, a few short weeks following that concert, Nathan suffered a debilitating injury that finally resulted in serious surgery, months of rehabilitation and what appears to be a permanent disability.

Regardless, Nathan is happy to spend much of his time at the piano now, rediscovering his joy in the piano music repertoire and the masterpieces of composers both old and new. Most days, Nathan will be found at his keyboard, pounding away at Liszt, Rachmaninoff or Prokofiev -- trying to drown out the background noise of Spongebob Squarepants.
