Zhaolei Xie

ZhaoLei, Xie, a Chinese pianist. An Artist Diploma student of Mr. John Owings in piano performance major at TCU. ZhaoLei began his piano studies at the age of 8, studied in the Central Conservatory of Music in Bei Jing from 1993-2001. He had been studied at the St. Petersburg State Conservatory in Russia from 2002-2004.
In 2006, ZhaoLei won first place in the Young Artist Division of the Tourgee DeBose National Piano Competition in Baton Rouge. ZhaoLei was also a winner in the college division of the Bradshaw & Buono International Piano Competition, which led to my New York City debut in 2006. He won the Monroe Symphony Young Artists Competition in Jan. 2007, and as the prize, ZhaoLei performed as soloist with the Monroe Symphony in April 2007. He has performed in master classes given by Leslie Howard , Yoheved Kaplinsky.
