
Bohumír Stehlík was born in 26.1.1990 in Prague. Primary music education was gained in the music school of Prague under the command of prof. Jan Tůma. During this time he won the contest “Karlovarská ružička” (1999). He took part in the competition “Prague Junior Note” (1999, 2000, 2003), where each time he won the laureat title. In a competition of music ensembles at Vysoké Mýto he got absolute victory in the year 2001.
After five years at primary school he transferred to the Gymnasium of Jan Neruda with musical survey, where he is currently studying under the patronage of Mgr. Irina Kondratěnko. In November 2005 he took part in the international piano competition “Virtuosi per Musica di Pianoforte” where won first prize as well as the prize of the mayor of Ústí nad Labem for hist excellent realization of the Elegy in E flat minor by Rachmaninov. Also in the year 2005, Bohumír took part in the competition “Concertino Praga” as a member in a trio, and got a Certificate of Merit in the national competition. In 2007 he won first prize as a solist in the same competition.
In year 2007 Bohumír took part in many
festivals where he had recitals. One of theese was the South Bohemian festival
„Concertino Praga“ where one of the concerts was broadcasted to whole Europe.
In year 2008 he was accepted as the youngest participant to Moritzburg Festival
Academy in Germany – the people up to 26 years played chamber music at the
concerts in Koncerthaus Berlin, Glass Factory of Volkswagen in Dresden, Bad Elster
and Moritzburg Castle.
Currently, Bohumír is preparing on entrance exam to Prague academy of music,
school-leaving exam and recitals and concerts with orchestra planned for the
season 2008-2009.
